It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or corporation to operate a junkyard within the city limits without strict compliance with the regulations as provided in section 15-203 of this article.

It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or corporation to operate a salvage yard within the city limits of Andover, Kansas without strict compliance with section 15-203 of this article.

(Ord. 48, Sec. 2)

No auto wrecking yard, salvage yard or junk yard shall be established within the city limits of Andover, Kansas, unless such establishments are screened by a tight board or other screen fence, not less than ten (10) feet in height, or of sufficient height to screen the contents therein from the view of persons on foot or riding in automobiles.  No auto wrecking yard, salvage or junkyard shall be established within the city limits unless all zoning requirements are met.

Any person or persons, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be fined not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment of not more than one (1) year in the county jail, or by both fine and imprisonment as provided in the Kansas Statutes.
